Sustainable future

A hotel committed to its surroundings

At Hotel Oasis we are committed to the environment, and for that reason we have set short-, medium- and long-term goals to become a company that is 100% environmentally responsible. With that commitment in mind, we have put several measures in place to reach our goals:

We make compost from kitchen waste, dry leaves from the garden and manure from the goats and chickens on our small farm.
Ash from our grill is used to make compost.
We recycle aluminum, cardboard, plastic and glass. Glass is not only sent to a recycling center but also reused as souvenirs or to serve dishes.
We use drip irrigation and keep a log that is analyzed against occupancy.
We also track butane gas and electricity use against occupancy and covers served.
Our outdoor pool is salt-chlorinated and kept heated in both winter and summer.
We use biodegradable detergents with metered dispensers.
Some buildings already separate black water from gray water so we can recycle our own wastewater in the future.
Our air conditioners, cold rooms and freezers are high-efficiency, energy-saving units that use environmentally friendly R32 gas.
We plan to add solar power for some buildings.

Some of these measures are still in an early stage of development, as we work to make them more efficient.
